Welcome to Fit at Forty.  Since the time I turned thirty, I’ve been on a roller coaster of fitness – working out for a few months and then falling off the wagon until the next New Year’s resolution. But, for the last couple of years I really let myself go – eating out with coworkers at lunch everyday, not exercising, and drinking one-too-many six packs on the weekends. Then, in December 2009 I lost my day job and decided that there was no excuse for me not to get into the best shape of my life.

This site is dedicated to sharing what I am learning on my journey to having the best body that I’ve ever had, at an age when my metabolism and physical prowess are the weakest they’ve ever been.  I don’t have all the answers.  I’m not a nutritionist or a fitness expert. But I am committed to finding out what it takes to be totally Fit at Forty.
